Fellowship Bible Church Shenandoah is committed to safely worshiping together.
Shenandoah County is currently a hot spot for Covid-19. This is not a fact we take lightly, FBCS takes your health and safety seriously. Covid fatigue is a real thing. We are all tired of having to keep our guard up as we interact with friends, neighbors and co-workers. In the past we have become accustomed to worshipping and fellowshipping freely, but it looks like we will have to take steps of precaution a while longer, so we can worship together safely.
Here are the steps that FBCS is taking:
-
We will plan carefully to provide plenty of space for distancing and to follow best practices of sanitizing the building and surfaces.
-
Family groups and individuals will be seated by ushers to insure distancing.
-
Nursery will be provided up to 2 years of age. This age group can be safely accommodated in the space we have available.
-
The Sunday service will also be simulcast on our Facebook page facebook.com/FBCShenCo.
At the same time we need you to partner with us in this concern for the health and well being of our community and church family.
Here are the steps we encourage you to take:
-
Wear a mask in the church building or when you are outdoors and social distancing is unavoidable. The New England Journal of Medicine recently had a study that showed half of patients who tested positive for Covid-19 had no symptoms at the time of testing. A mask will not protect you 100% from getting the virus, but it can prevent you from unknowingly transmitting Covid to someone else. Let’s love one another by wearing a mask.
-
Keep a social distance of 6 feet between you and individuals outside of your household. We can still fellowship a bit farther a part.
-
Use hand sanitizer often. It is available through out the building.
-
Allow the ushers to seat you and dismiss you. This allows for a more orderly seating process that reduces physical contact.
-
If you have exhibited signs of illness within the last 48 hours such as fever, cough, or other symptoms of Covid-19, please stay at home.
-
If you have been exposed to someone with Covid-19 within the last 10 days, please stay home and worship with us online.
We look forward to worshipping with you!
